I must tell you about my incident. Approx. 2 years back, one morning, I usually woke up. But it was not something usual that day. My back was started paining heavily. Though, at that time, I didn’t know that the pain is related to the deficiency of Vitamin D. I just went for a body checkup.
After the checkup, I came to know that Vitamin D is low in my body. Due to its deficiency, my body stops absorbing calcium from the food I eat.
At that time I felt a little shocked but the doctor told me that it happens to many people. Lack of sunlight is the major reason behind it. Our body generates Vitamin D if it gets sunlight.
He suggested me to sit for around 20-30 minutes under the sunlight every morning, if possible. Also, he suggested me a medicine and some vitamin D rich foods to be consumed on daily basis (that I’ll discuss it later on in this post).
But getting a good amount of sunlight is not possible for most of the people. It might be because of the indoor lifestyle, or maybe because of the less sunlight region where you are living.
According to a four-year survey of 5,65,726 women undertaken by the diagnostics chain SRL Diagnostics between 2013 and 2016, around 75-80 percent of women across India had inadequate vitamin D levels in their blood.
