Friendly staff and tasty food. Eggs Benedict were cooked to perfection.
The absolute best restaurant up in Wrightwood. The staff is very friendly and the food is great. The burgers and sandwiches are amazing and don't even get me started on their ribs they just so good! And if you have the room for it has some of sweet treats like their Reese pie!
Very good food but way, way, way overpriced. $50 for two regular breakfast plates and one child's plate. I will eventually return but it will be a long, long time from now. And only twice a year at that. It's too bad because they are nice and the place is decorated well.
Can't possibly say enough about the Evergreen Cafe and the great people that work there! We came in shortly before closing on a Saturday night. Everyone working was amazingly happy and welcoming. Our food was wonderful and the portions are huge! They were even kind enough to bring our service dog a bucket of water. If you're in the area and want a great meal with wonderful service we highly recommend the Evergreen Cafe!
There are severe micro-aggressions that you’ll receive from the servers at this restaurant. I, ironically, had a serve named, Karen— and if the name itself doesn’t already have a stigma that is simultaneous with it, my server Karen was unnervingly uncomfortable serving me. I happen to be a Hispanic female, and the micro-aggressions that I came across from her, ranged from, EXTREMELY delayed service, even though the restaurant evidently not over-crowded, complete avoidant eye-contact while speaking to me, forgotten utensils, forgotten drinks, and a persistent unwelcoming attitude. Keep in mind, that any person not of color who came in, was greeted immediately and happily by Karen with immediate waters and service. It was a shame to have to endure and witness consistent micro-aggressions, seeing as racism is the most useless form of hate. Whether a simple Caucasian waitress subtly unwelcome’s you in her place of work, or you’re confronted with obvious racism— it’s existent in places for people of color, especially at the Ever Green Cafe. So thank you Karen; one, for showing me that racism is still deeply entrenched and indoctrinated in the minds of people who tier their worth on the basis of skin color, and secondly, I’m able to warn other people of color to stay away from a restaurant with less than average food, lack of clean environment, and most importantly, an ignorant, bigoted staff.
Update: I have now eaten at the cafe and here are my thoughts;. The people here have a small town charm and will treat you like you are one of their friends.
The food is good, definitely better than the sort you'd find at a restaurant chain. Also, the decor is nice and the prices are very affordable.
Also, you can order anything from the cafe menu at the Saloon.
This place has great decor and a nice staff. Drinks here are what you’d expect, but if you come in and are feeling adventurous they do have some interesting exotic spirits on occasion. Lori was the bartender at the time. She is very easy to talk to and made sure to pay attention to all the patrons appropriately.
If you’re in town for a bit, definitely stop by, even if it’s a weekday.
Quirky mountain cafe in small Wrightwood, California. Be prepared for the decor. It is definitely one of a kind. Excellent Chicken Fried Steak.
Excellent customer service, food was served in large portion sizes, well with the money! Pics are of general area, awesome!
