I moved to the DMV area from Philly and it took me months to find an amazing salon. I HAVE FINALLY FOUND ONE (my review is late). Everyone in the salon was welcoming the second I walked in. I have been back over 20 times at this point and ALWAYS have an amazing experience. My hair always comes out straight and never damaged since I am natural often. Ladies that are on the fence about trying somewhere new, definitely try Kiara’s out!

If you want damaged hair follicles, this is the place for you!

After my relaxer with Yessica, I had scalp burns that did not heal for almost two months. My hair was burned off and fell out in clumps everytime I washed my hair. My hair follicles are damaged. I had to shave my head and start medical treatment.

Kiaras dominican hairstyle only cares about money. They do not care for the health of your hair or scalp. Their staff is inept and they will burn any resemblance of blackness off of your head.

She did a great job with my hair! Was polite, friendly & knowledgeable on hair care.

Yessica serviced me. My 4c hair has been straighter with other Dominican salons. That's not my complaint it's in the "trim". She kept cutting and cutting and 2 - 3 inches later I won't go back.

Update my hair stayed straight as if a chemical solution was added to straighten my hair. My hair thinned out and stayed straight for months even after a shampoo and that’s not normal.

Family affair @ Kiara salon ! Great service and good lewks from Mairy and her mom. Plus the comedy stylings of her adorable son. Would recommend, especially early afternoon during the week. Normally natural, but I will return for straight styles.

I have been going to this salon for more than 13 years. Will not go anywhere else. Ramona does wonders to my hair. Love the atmosphere and love Ramona's energy. Ramona and her 2 daughters always make me feel welcome. I usually get my hair done with Ramona but I have seem her 2 daughters work and they are all amazing hair stylists. I highly recommen this hair salon.

I am in love how they left my hair they are very gentle with your hair when they wash it and, they are very kind. They are also very detailed with your hair and take time with you. I am very happy I came to this place and will be going again. I really recomend it to anyone who is looking for a great hair salon come to this one. Thank you Lord for this place. Very happy the way my hair feels and love my hair cut.

The hair styling/blow dry looks good but I am not happy with my overall results: The coloring did not cover my greys and my cut looks uneven/unprofessional. That said I saw the ladies blow dry others' hair and the results were also beautiful, so if you are looking for straightening and styling this may be a great place (although be aware they are rough with hair, it hurts). Added bonus, I enjoyed the joyful spirit of the place.
